British Airways has confirmed the launch of a brand-new summer route connecting Glasgow with Palma de Mallorca, expanding the airline’s short-haul network for 2026. Operated by BA Cityflyer, the weekly service will run every Saturday from 9 May 2026, offering Scottish travellers a direct and convenient way to reach one of the Mediterranean’s most popular holiday islands.
Passengers will have a choice of two cabins on board. Euro Traveller (economy) customers will enjoy a complimentary snack and drink, while those flying in Club Europe (business class) will benefit from a larger baggage allowance, priority boarding, lounge access at the newly refurbished British Airways Glasgow Airport lounge, and an enhanced meal and bar service onboard. A cabin bag is included for all travellers as standard.
Flights start from £111 each way, providing a stylish and comfortable option for holidaymakers planning a Mallorca getaway. With Palma remaining a top destination for Scottish sun-seekers, this new route is expected to be popular with both leisure travellers and British Airways Executive Club members looking to redeem Avios.
Chris Tibbett, Aero Director at AGS Airports, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome BA CityFlyer’s new seasonal service from Glasgow to Palma de Mallorca, launching in May 2026. Palma is a hugely popular destination, and this direct flight will give our passengers even more choice for their summer holiday plans. With no middle seats and complimentary drinks and snacks for every passenger, it offers a stylish and enjoyable start to any trip.”
The route will operate throughout the summer 2026 season, strengthening Glasgow’s short-haul schedule and providing a premium travel option for those heading to the Balearics.
