Norwegian Cruise Line has officially launched sales for its newest and largest vessel, Norwegian Aura, set to redefine the cruise experience. With a capacity of 3,840 passengers, the ship is approximately 10% larger than its sister ships, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, offering even more space, comfort, and activities for guests.
The ship will make its debut in Europe in May 2027, sailing a seven-day Mediterranean itinerary from Trieste, Italy, to Barcelona, Spain, before setting course for Miami in June 2027. From its new homeport, Norwegian Aura will offer a range of Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, giving travellers the chance to explore some of the most iconic destinations in the region.
Norwegian Aura introduces a host of innovative onboard features designed for fun and relaxation. Among them is Ocean Heights, an open-air activity space boasting five waterslides, a ropes course, a rock climbing wall, and a mini-golf course. For adults seeking a serene retreat, the ship will feature NCL’s first-overhanging cabanas overlooking the exclusive Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only sanctuary.
The pool deck has been reimagined, now 20% larger than those on other Prima Class vessels, with increased seating capacity, a second infinity hot tub, a larger LED entertainment screen, and additional lounge areas for sunbathing or socialising. Every detail has been designed to enhance guest comfort while providing ample space for both relaxation and adventure.
Gary Anslow, Regional Vice President and Head of the United Kingdom & Ireland, commented:
“We are proud to introduce the newest and largest addition to our fleet, Norwegian Aura. This ship represents the evolution of Norwegian Cruise Line, bringing together families, friends, and travellers from around the world. With brilliance and connection at her core, Norwegian Aura offers every guest the freedom to holiday their very own way – the chance to exhale, connect, and effortlessly escape into the moment. We look forward to welcoming guests aboard and showcasing everything this remarkable ship has to offer.”
Following her Mediterranean launch, Norwegian Aura will embark on a 14-day transatlantic voyage to Miami, departing 28 May 2027, marking the start of her Caribbean adventures. With its combination of thrilling activities, serene retreats, and expanded spaces, Norwegian Aura promises to set a new benchmark for cruising, blending excitement and relaxation for guests of all ages.
