British Airways has unveiled an exciting expansion to its Middle East schedule, strengthening connectivity between the Gulf region and the UK. This latest announcement reflects the airline’s commitment to delivering greater choice, convenience, and flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.

New Routes and Additional Services

Starting 27 October 2025, British Airways will increase the frequency of flights from several key Middle Eastern cities to London Heathrow.

  • Bahrain: A daily service will be introduced, more than doubling the existing flights and adding over 9,000 extra seats per year.
  • Saudi Arabia: Riyadh flights will rise to 12 per week this winter and increase again to 14 per week in summer 2026. Jeddah will also see a boost to five flights weekly from summer 2026.
  • Abu Dhabi: A new daily service will launch from winter 2025, adding even more travel options from the UAE capital.

These enhancements ensure seamless onward connections via Heathrow to British Airways’ network of more than 200 destinations worldwide.

A Brand That Reflects Reliability and Heritage

The British Airways logo has long symbolised the airline’s role as the UK’s flag carrier — a proud red, white, and blue design that embodies trust, reliability, and a strong connection between Britain and the wider world. Each new route expansion reinforces the values represented in the logo: international reach, premium service, and a customer-first approach.

For travellers in the Middle East, the familiar British Airways emblem is more than just a logo. It represents confidence in service, comfort across four cabin classes — First, Club World, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller — and a long-standing tradition of bridging cultures and countries.

Supporting Regional Demand

This expansion responds directly to the growing demand for travel between the Gulf and the UK. Whether travelling for business meetings in London, family reunions, or a long-awaited holiday, passengers will benefit from more flexible schedules and increased seating capacity. British Airways has also underlined its cultural awareness by ensuring Arabic-speaking cabin crew are available on selected flights, offering a personalised onboard experience.

Looking Ahead

With Middle East travel booming and London Heathrow serving as one of the world’s most important aviation hubs, British Airways’ strategy is clear: strengthen its presence in key international markets while ensuring passengers experience the quality and consistency symbolised by its iconic logo.
