From late March 2026, Jet2 will begin operating from London Gatwick Airport for the very first time — a move that opens up even more choice for holidaymakers in the South of England.
The airline will base five brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft at Gatwick and operate flights to 29 sun-soaked destinations across Europe, including:

🇵🇹 Portugal and Madeira

This expansion makes Gatwick Jet2’s 14th UK base, giving easy access to almost 15 million people living within an hour’s drive or train journey of the airport.
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy described the move as “an incredibly exciting moment” for the airline, adding that Gatwick offers “a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring our award-winning Customer First service to the UK’s largest leisure airport.”
The new base means travellers in London and the South East can look forward to Jet2’s signature package holidays and friendly service without having to travel to other departure points.
London Gatwick’s Chief Executive, Pierre-Hugues Schmit, also welcomed the news, saying it comes at a perfect time as the airport prepares to expand with the routine use of its Northern Runway, improving capacity and connectivity for passengers.
Jet2 expects its Gatwick operations to be fully up and running for Summer 2026, offering both flight-only deals and Jet2holidays packages to some of Europe’s favourite beach and city destinations.
