
I’m due to travel to Crete – I’ve heard there’s a wildfire. Will my holiday be affected?
We’re aware of a wildfire currently contained in the Achlia area in the south-east of Crete. This is a significant distance from the main resort regions where our customers are continuing to enjoy their holidays as normal.
We’re monitoring the situation closely and are in regular contact with local authorities. At this time, your holiday is expected to go ahead as planned. Should there be any changes, we will of course be in touch directly.

I’m travelling to Crete and heard about a wildfire near the Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort. Is that hotel affected?
Following guidance from the Civil Guard and local authorities, guests at the Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort are being proactively relocated as a precaution due to the nearby wildfire in the Achlia area.
This is not an emergency evacuation but a safety-first approach to ensure guests’ continued comfort and wellbeing.
We are monitoring the situation carefully. At this stage, your holiday is planned to proceed as booked. If any changes become necessary, we will contact you directly.
I’m travelling to Crete but was affected by the Rhodes fire in 2023 – can I change my holiday?
For customers who were directly affected by the 2023 Rhodes fires and are concerned about travelling to Crete, we have an exception policy in place:
- For departures up to and including 7th July 2025
- One fee-free change to any other destination (reactive only)
- If the new holiday is more expensive, the difference in cost must be paid
- If the new holiday is cheaper, the difference will be refunded
We’re due to have our wedding in Crete – will it be affected by the wildfire?
We’re aware of the wildfire in the Achlia area in the south-east of Crete. This remains well away from the main resort areas.
