TUI Update: TUI Suneo Dunas, Cape Verde – Summer 2025 Closure Information

We’ve received confirmation that the TUI Suneo Dunas in Cape Verde will be temporarily closed for the summer season, effective from 1st May 2025. Understandably, many of you who have holidays booked later in the year are wondering what this means for your travel plans.

What We Know So Far

TUI has advised that the closure is seasonal and relates only to the summer period. At this time, the resort is expected to reopen for the winter season, beginning from 1st November 2025 onwards. If you are due to travel on or after 1st November 2025, your holiday is currently unaffected, and you do not need to take any immediate action.

TUI has also confirmed they are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with their resort partners. Should any changes arise that may impact your holiday booking — including delays to the reopening date, or the need to relocate your booking — TUI will contact you directly with the available options. These could include moving to a different hotel, alternative dates, or a full refund, depending on the circumstances.

What Should I Do If I’ve Booked?

If you’ve already booked a holiday to TUI Suneo Dunas for November 2025 or beyond, there is no need to worry at this point. Your booking remains valid unless you hear otherwise from TUI.

If you’re considering booking a holiday to this property from November onwards, it’s worth being aware of this current closure and keeping an eye out for further updates — or alternatively, we can help you find a similar resort nearby to ensure peace of mind.
