Ibiza’s nightlife scene is about to be transformed with the grand opening of UNVRS, the world’s largest nightclub, launching on Friday 30 May. Located on the legendary site formerly home to Privilege in San Rafael, this reimagined venue is set to become a global epicentre for electronic music and immersive clubbing experiences.
A New Era for a Legendary Site
The newly redesigned club has retained the iconic dome that defined its past, but everything else has been modernised to fit seamlessly into the Ibiza landscape. Whitewashed walls and contemporary architecture have replaced the dated structure, offering a fresh, minimalist look that still pays homage to its roots.
This will be the first time the venue has opened in five years, following the closure of Privilege in 2019. Privilege was once renowned for its Guinness World Record-holding dance floor with a capacity of up to 10,000, and UNVRS is poised to carry that legacy forward—only bigger and more technologically advanced.
Summer Line-Up Packed with Global Stars
UNVRS has already unveiled a massive summer DJ line-up, featuring some of the most celebrated names in electronic dance music. Residents and special performances include:
- Eric Prydz’s Holosphere 2.0
- Anyma
- Jamie Jones, including his concept Paradise: Sands of Solaris
- Fisher
- David Guetta’s Galactic Circus
- Carl Cox
- Elrow
These high-profile residencies promise a diverse mix of genres, styles, and audiovisual spectacles, making UNVRS a must-visit venue for music lovers this summer.
Cutting-Edge Experiences Beyond the Dancefloor
UNVRS isn’t just about the music – it’s a fully immersive experience. The venue features state-of-the-art technology designed to push each performance beyond the boundaries of a traditional nightclub. From immersive visuals to interactive light shows, each night will be a spectacle in its own right.
One of the most unique features is The Wild Comet – not your average bathroom break. This creative space acts as a micro-club with sound-reactive lighting and its own DJ booth, creating an unexpected party zone within the venue itself.
For those in need of a breather, the venue’s iconic dome terrace has been transformed into a tranquil space where guests can relax and enjoy panoramic views over Ibiza.
Dining Designed for the Dancefloor
Food and drink also play an important part in the overall experience. UNVRS offers a curated menu of dishes specifically designed to be easy to eat and free of overpowering aromas – perfect for fuelling the night without missing a beat.
A Legacy Reimagined
The site of UNVRS has long been a fixture in Ibiza’s nightlife, dating back to the 1970s. It became world-famous as Privilege Ibiza from 1994 to 2019, hosting iconic performances and unforgettable nights. Past visitors have included international stars such as Freddie Mercury, Kylie Minogue and Spandau Ballet, and the new era of UNVRS aims to continue this legacy with a fresh energy and global appeal.
With tickets for the grand opening priced at £130 per person, excitement is already building for what’s expected to be a landmark season in Ibiza’s clubbing calendar.
UNVRS opens its doors on 30 May — and with a line-up this strong, it’s shaping up to be one of the hottest spots on the island this summer.
